Which version to pick
- Steam is the version with the ten-month patch history and the community guides; every price and mechanic on this site was documented on it.
- Game Pass costs nothing extra if you subscribe and Play Anywhere covers both console and PC.
- Switch 2 is the handheld option; Nintendo Life scored that version 8/10 and NintendoWorldReport 8.5/10.
- Steam Deck works (Verified) but town areas can drop to 40 FPS after long sessions; see the performance guide.
Cross-progression and crossplay
The game is single-player, so crossplay does not apply. Xbox Play Anywhere shares progress between Xbox and Windows Store versions; no other cross-progression (Steam to console) has been announced.
